Bed rest..

Oh how everything is sinking in..here is what the last 2 weeks has been like in the Sims house.

*We had our baby shower last weekend and my Aunt Peppy did an awesome job! We received so many gifts it took 3 trips with the suv to get them home. I just got done last night finishing up organizing things washing cloths ect. I am soo thankful for everyone who came and sent things I'm sure were set for at least a month lol.

* Tuesday night Chad took me to the hospital around 7 pm I was having contractions timing them about every 3 minutes. We went to the track and I tried walking them off (thinking they were just braxton hicks) but when they just turned much worse Chad decided we needed to get checked out. When I got to the hospital they hooked me all up and saw I was having hard contractions every three minutes. The nurse checked and I wasn't dilated at all. (That was very disappointing). She then tried to see what was causing them/how to stop them. She checked for a bladder infection, made sure I was hydrated, turned me over every so often, ect. After 6 hrs of no change She called the dr on call and he ordered shots to make them stop. Unfortunately, the shots made me VERY jittery and I could barely walk. Therefor I didn't get any sleep that night after getting home around midnight.

*Yesterday, We had a dr appt at 2:45. I immediately told Dr. Rising about our trip to the hospital and he became concerned. He said even though the baby would be fine being born at 36 weeks he would like to get me through another week or so. He also was not happy about not being notified because he wouldn't have arranged for the shots. (I was kinda upset about that too) He put me on bed rest for the next week and a half until my next appt on the 3rd. Chad is doing an amazing job. He is waiting on me hand and foot and I feel so horrible. I hate not doing things for myself. But I am lucky to have him. Unfortunately I'm on day two of bed rest and I think I have hit my nesting stage because I have had the urge to get everything done today. But of course I can't get much done because I can't leave the house. Hopefully Payton gives me atleast a week after I get off bed rest so I can finish my list if things to do that I made today. Let's just say it's going to be a longggg week!!!

I also have gained quiet a few more lbs but I am lagging on taking pictures.. I have gained a total of 50 lbs!! I am so ready to have my figure back!! ( I almost forgot what I used to look like:/)

  1. Hang in there! I was on pelvic rest in my first trimester with Ellie and it killed me to not be active and work out! Just FYI, walking always makes contractions worse. Instead, take a bubble bath, lay down and relax. You can never walk off contractions but you can relax them away. They send people off to walk at the hospital to put them into labor! What's funny is that you have gained exactly what mom did when she was pregnant with Chad! I hope you dont have a 11 pound baby though! Well, I'm sure you know but that figure doesn't come back very easily no matter how much weight you gain! Make sure you still take maternity clothes to the hospital to come home in! Y'alls maternity pics are cute!Good luck!
