One Whole Year..

Well the time has come and gone and my Little man is a whole year old. We had so much fun planning the party and getting him all ready and it seemed to fly by way to fast. I will post pictures of the party as promised but first I want to dedicate a little time talking about how much my guy has changed in the past year.
At a year old Payton can now:
     - Stand unassisted for longer than a minute.
     - crawl everywhere 90 to nothing
     - get only one bottle a day (for bedtime)
     - play consistently on his own for hours at a time!
     - pick up most foods and feed himself
     - say full words such as mom, dad, no, good, go, dog, down, and ball

His favorite things to do now are:
    - go for rides in the wagon
    - play with bouncy balls
    - watch wow wow wubbzy
    - play chase with Meme and Pappy's puppy.
    - take baths
    - play with kitties

Our one year stats:
    - Weight: 24.15lbs (still trying to gain back weight from hospital)
    - Height: 31 1/2"
    - not sure about the head circumference but in the 90-100% for them all
    - shoe size: 6
    - Clothes size: 18-24 mo

I can't believe how fast this time has went by and how much he has developed with in such a short time frame. It seems as if it was only yesterday I was holding him in my arms in the hospital. We had some rough moments getting this far but I know neither Chad and I would change it for the world.

Here are some photos from the big day!

First Chad took Payton to the park here in town. He decided that every morning on his birthday him and Payton will go. Chad doesn't get much time with Payton because of work and school, I think it's so sweet that at least once a year they will get their full daddy/Payton time. Chad is such a good dad. Payton was such a momma's boy in the beginning but now that he plays more him and Chad are really starting to bond more.

This is the photo line I made. Don't pay attention to the rest of the room this was before any other decor was done..

Here is the outside. Dad and Chad did an AMAZING job on the front! Chads fingers actually started bleeding from tieing so many balloons.. just hang on you'll see what I mean haha...
 Here is the walkway!

the cake table

The food table (I don't think this was taken after all the food was out)
Kool-aid.. oh and a special thanks to my SIL for doing Mr. Lorax over there. There is no way I would have been able to make that.
 Lunch time
 He got sooo many presents!

Payton of course did not like sharing his toys with his cousin! lol

 about to cut cake

 Just to excited!

About to sing Happy Birthday

I was so impressed Payton actually touched his cake. Trust me if you knew my child you would know he does NOT like to get messy.. He actually had a blast playing in this!
I decided to do something a little different. Most people get cards on their birthday and they just get thrown away after the party. I decided to get everyone to bring a book instead of a card. This way they could sign their book and Payton could keep them to read later on. Little did I know how many books I would accumulate.. (over 50!)

And the last family shot of the evening..
Hope you enjoyed. Sorry, I warned you there would be a ton of pics (This is actually nothing there is actually 500 total!) Anyways, It has been an amazing year and I can't wait to see what comes next!

Birthday Prep/ Hospital

It has been a rough month. To start off, we've been crazy busy trying to get everything ready for the birthday party! The invitations are supposed to come in today and I am beyond excited! But on a sadder note, Payton got put in the hospital three weeks ago with pneumonia. We stayed three days then they discharged us saying he was "all better." I knew that wasn't true just by looking at him but what do I know, I'm just the mom right? Well two weeks went by and his temp started getting higher. On Tuesday the daycare called me saying that we needed to come get him he had a temp of 103.5 and was throwing up all his food. I immediately went and got him and brought him into the ER. We were there for EIGHT hours for them to discharge us saying they didn't know why his fever was so high and to just keep giving Tylenol. His fever never broke all night no matter how much Tylenol he had, so the next morning I called his Pedi and brought him in and She said he has pneumonia again and we needed to go straight to the hospital. After getting here they found he actually has bacteria in his blood and thats why his fever wasn't breaking. We've been here a few days now and waiting on the doctor to come in and give us news. We're praying we can go home today but only if he is well enough. Let me tell ya it is HARD keeping an 11 mo old boy still 24 hrs a day.. I just hope he feels better by his big day!

This is last time we were in. You can tell how pale he is!

We actually have been having some cooler weather and Payton loves to go outside in the morning and play with the kitties!

Here is a sneak peak of some of the birthday photos we did. Chad did a great job! Payton, not so much. haha. He hated the cake so much!

Well my next post will probably be the birthday post! Beware it's going to be brutally long! haha

Zoo and such!

Well August 24 has finally made it here and things have been crazy these past few weeks!!! I finished my last day at Market Basket on Saturday (because school starts back in the morning). So while I was at work Chad had a Daddy/Payton day and they seemed to have a blast! He took Payton to Great Grandma and Great-Grandpa Sims house to play then they went to the park.

Grandma found these "clappers" she had gotten from the bank and Payton just loves them.

The swing is his favorite.

Having fun with his Daddy(:

He is just getting so big(: He is now an official boy and loves to play with trucks!

So after doing some research online I found that you can get into the Houston Zoo for free if you are receiving Foodstamps!! We were so excited, it's about 14 dollars a person to get in so we took advantage of this deal right away! We decided to take Payton this morning because classes start in the morning and we know time will be pressed from here to December. This was our first "family vacation" for just the three of us and it was so much fun. Payton was actually interested in all the animals and mostly just wanted to get down and play with them. I couldn't believe he never fell asleep or anything, he is just getting so big:(

Chad took AT LEAST 20 pictures of each animal lol so I won't bore you with those just a few good ones!
Headed to the Zoo!

His zippy became his best friend today, it was zoo hot (and yes I'm in capris IDK what I was thinking lol) It was easily 100 degrees..

Payton loved this little deer...

...He just watched it walk back and forth lol

These chimps were so smart. They would come up to the window and people would pull out their camera and the chimps would smile for the camera. I stood Payton next to the window and when they would come by he would bang on it to get their attention and they would bang back. He got a kick outta that.

Second favorite: Elephants. He loves watching the Mommy and Baby one.

The only family photo we got and Payton's not looking:( Oh well it was great!
We had so much fun, and we didn't even cover the whole zoo. After 3 1/2 hours of sweat we were ready to go. On another note, Tomorrow starts the great fall semester 2012.. Its going to be a long hard semester. We are also keeping an eye on Hurricane Isaac out there. Its not looking so great, it keeps turning towards us and evacuating is NOT how I want to start the semester..

Daycare

Well Payton is now a little over ten months old. He started daycare this week since Chad and I will be in school all day everyday (pretty much) and we won't have a babysitter everyday. Luckily the daycare is working with us and he will only be going twice a week for half a day! Other big news this month.. Payton FINALLY started crawling!! I cried.. haha. but about two and a half weeks ago he took off. He is a little moister now, getting into everything. Im not going to lie I love it. People always say that you will realize when they get mobile thats not what you really wanted all along. Well I have to say thats not true in my case. I love how active he is we actually play together now. His new favorite game is tag(;

Here are some pictures of our little monster!

Chad being obsessed with his new camera features lol

This is my uncle Tommy, for some reason Payton is terrified of him. No one can figure out why. I feel bad for him lol, Payton just clinches on my dad and cries every time my uncle even talks.

Getting into EVERYTHING.

First day of daycare!:(

Today we had one of the laziest days yet(: We sat in our jammies all day and played. Payton loves giving kisses. He couldn't give enough to Mr Bear.

But he still saved a few his mommy:)

I have started buying things for Paytons birthday party. It's going great. The problem is I lay there at night thinking of more and more DIY things to make. I think were going to go bankrupt(; lol. I'm just having so much fun. I'm warning you now his birthday post will be by far my longest post yet..

Payton's 9th Month

Not much has been happening around the Sims house. We just had Payton's 9 mo check up he is 24.15 lbs and 31in. Dr said everything is looking great other than maybe having surgery in a few mo to drop his other testical:( I will cry. But that's not until October. We are mostly just trying to get things ready for School to start and Payton's Birthday! We are so excited and probably going way to out there but oh well. You only turn 1 once right?

Here are some cute pics from the last month!
He sure does love his cheerios! Apparently Daddy gave him the whole bag while I was still sleeping. Don't worry he got way more on the floor than in his mouth! lol

My family had a BBQ a few Saturdays ago. It was soo hot out and Payton wasn't liking the outside much. So I sat him in his walker and poured water in the tray. He splashed and splashed forever.

That smile right there just makes my day! This was one day after we ran to walmart and the greeter gave him a "Wal-Mart tattoo" He loved it!

Haha and this picture just made me laugh so hard. He is getting such a personality!

No point in folding laundry anymore. It will never get finished.
